swallow street
when i went down to london just after christmas, i brought my newest present - a super wide-angle lens along for the ride. as it got dark i had the bright idea of going to piccadilly circus to get a wide-angle shot of the big neon adverts. i made the journey, took the pictures, and was thoroughly disappointed with the result. however, upon walking back towards oxford street i passed this archway, stopped for about five seconds to take a snap, and ended up with an image that i thought was far superior. i like those little accidental photos. incidentally, i also spent a rather large sum of money in hmv in oxford street (as is my wont) so the journey was worthwhile - if costlier than i'd planned.
