conor oberst #2
when i first got into bright eyes it was because a friend recommended the album fevers and mirrors to me. it only took me a few listens to really get into it. then i heard cassadaga, his newest one, which i thought was half of a really good album. a while later i heard i'm wide awake it's morning and thought wow, this is his best work - i can't believe i didn't pick this up earlier. now i'm having the exact same feelings about digital ash in a digital urn which i think is close to flawless. it's making me apprehensive about listening to any of his other albums, i'm not sure if that's because it won't live up to his other work or because it'll end up changing my preconceptions again.
