shisha - extra image
when i went to egypt last month i went to a place near the red sea called sharm-el-sheikh. i've never been anywhere else in egypt before, but i'd imagine that sharm isn't a particularly strong example of egyptian life and cultures. to be honest it seemed more like a magaluf type holiday resort than somewhere in africa. still, one egyptian custom that i did appreciate was the shisha. to me it seemed like a really sociable, friendly alternative (or in our case compliment to) sitting around drinking with friends. our flavour of choice was apple and it went down well with the sakaras.
