i had never heard of this drink before, and then saw it two nights in a row in two different bars. this time i was still sober enough to take a picture, the night before i spied it on the very top shelf of a huge array of spirits behind the bar. in my drunken state i thought it would be a great idea for ask for this - not knowing what it would taste like - just so the barman would have to clamber up really high to get it for me. funnily enough the barman didn't seem to share my enthusiasm. part of me wishes i'd asked for a double just as he put the bottle back in it's place, but i'd probably be wearing the drink if i had - and no one wants a monkey on their shoulder.
