last week i went on my first holiday since february, a family trip to cornwall in the south west corner of england. i've wanted to go for a while, but the long distance always put me off, so one positive from lockdown is that i now crave long distance travel in my own country. when i checked the forecast a couple of weeks ago it was due to rain all week, which sounded particularly frustrating as we'd just had a heatwave in england. however it transpired that the weather forecast should have just read: all, as it switched from cloudless sun to gusty winds to heavy rain, often in a single day. so it made for some fun beach time alongside dramatic coastlines such as this.
