the bodhi tree i sit beneath - extra image
we set off from the coast to sossusvlei just before sunset and therefore spent most of the journey in the dark. not long after the sun disappeared we saw a glowing light in front of us which we assumed were signs of a nearby town. it took us a couple of minutes to realise that it wasn't a town but the rising full moon. it was so transfixing that we pulled to the side of the road, stuck han zimmer's interstellar soundtrack on full blast and climbed to the roof of our car to witness the ascension.
