tree of life
i thought of the title as i recently saw the darren aronofsky film the fountain. now i'm a big fan of pi, and requiem for a dream is probably in my top 5 all time favourite movies, so i had big hopes for this film. unfortunately i just didn't do it for me. i thought it was a pretentious, confusing mess. still, at least it was a pretty mess.
