rock steady
our last day in south georgia was spent on a zodiac cruise around cooper bay, which was home to gentoo, chinstrap, macaroni and these king penguins. there was quite a swell in the water that morning, which made taking photos that bit more challenging, particularly like this one when i was zoomed in to 400mm. in most cases i would straighten an image like this, but i think on this occasion the slightly wonky angle adds to this image. along with the wave crashing in the background it gives you a better, and accurate, sense of the volatile surface these birds floating on.
