three kings
i'll freely admit that i didn't know that south georgia even existed before i found out i'd be travelling there. it's one of those little islands which are dotted around the planet that i never even thought about, let alone thought i'd actually visit. it's extremely remote, well over 1000km from any other land and only accessible by boat for a few months of the year. no humans live on the island, and as a result it's inhabited by birds, penguins and seals who are all fairly unafraid of human interaction. i encountered a few different species of penguin on this trip, but for me the most beautiful of all were these king penguins. i hope you agree, as i'll be posting many more photos of these magnificent creatures in the coming future.
