outside the lines
this sculpture was right outside the airbnb where i stayed in essaouria last year. everytime i walked passed it i was reminded of the johnathan blow game the witness. it's a puzzle game which requires a pen and paper in order to progress, i can't think of the last computer game that needed that. whilst it's infinitely more rewarding if you work out the puzzles on your own, i did have to look online for a few of the answers which seemed impossible without help. i did the same with this roadside puzzle and discovered the answer to be barakat mohammed in arabic calligraphy. no way i would have worked that out on my own.
