i realised that when i posted my last photo of the year that it was the first time i mentioned that i went skydiving last year. it was as part of my week long road trip in namibia, and i'm still impressed that i managed to pack so much in with animals, dunes and skeleton trees in addition to falling out of a plane. it was my second ever time skydiving, the previous occasion being six years before in argentina. i knew it would be a possibility in swakopmund and half booked it in advance, but didn't arrive in time. the following morning was windy and overcast and i was told i could only go if the conditions cleared up. thankfully they did and i felt the exact same emotions that i've only ever experienced once before in my life: complete fear snapping into complete exhilaration.
