a piece of the puzzle
here's another shot from deadvlei, a dried up salt pan in the deserts of namibia. it really was as impressive as it looks, and for a sense of scale check out the sand dune in the top left of the frame, those tiny dots are people on their way to the summit. and yes, hiking to the top of that huge dune in that heat is also as impressive as it looks.
