the hardest aspect i found when i went on work trips was the long hours and lack of sleep. typically i wouldn't get to bed until at least 1 or 2 in the morning, which meant for about 5 days straight i was operating on around 5 hours sleep a night. as such each hour which you are allowed to stay in bed is precious, and waking up extra early to watch the sunrise is a really unappealing prospect. watching the mist get burned away by the golden sun rays on this lake however confirmed that there are some things which are better than sleeping.
