into the white - extra image
at the beginning of the year i flew over to france for a snowboarding holiday in tignes. i'd heard reports that it hadn't snowed for over two weeks before i arrived so i was somewhat worried about the poor conditions. fortunately it started snowing as soon as i arrived and it didn't stop for the whole week. so each day i was welcomed with a thick layer of fresh powder which became a joy to snowboard on. it even meant that falling over was like being cuddled by a soft, fluffy cloud. however trying to get back up again became an exhausting and time consuming manoeuvre of strength and contortion. regardless it was still a privilege to slide down these perfectly sculpted mountains.
