let's find a place under the stars - extra image
when i posted a picture of my mate failing to set his hand on fire i said that i had a good reason why we didn't persevere with that endeavour. this is the reason - we were surrounded by thousands of bright, beautiful stars. it's actually been a good few years since i last posted an astro picture, which i interpret as having spent too long in light polluted cities or under the cover of clouds. that's a shame as there is something indescribably special about lying down outside and staring up at your galaxy. and for me, it's a real thrill to get back into taking long exposures and capturing the view if not the feeling.
