red porters
anyone who's done the inca trail knows that as tough as it is - these guys have it much, much worse. see us tourists that go, we take a day bag with us that will typically contain something small to eat and drink on the day's trek, a couple of items of clothing and (if you're me) a camera and lens. that meant that everything else, tents, sleeping bags, camping mats, food, water, popcorn, had to make an alternative route up there. that's where these guys come in. what's crazy is that after we'd set off in a morning they'd pack everything up, trek to the next campsite, and then set everything up before we arrived. this and colour coordination. kudos!
