strait of tiquina
after we had crossed the border from peru to bolivia, we then had to cross over lake titicaca in tiquina. there was an element of risk to this part of the journey as our guide told us that we weren't to identify him as a guide in front of the authorities. something to do with work permits and peruvians working in bolivia which could result in jail time for him and a more awkward holiday for us. so we had to spend the crossing ignoring him. it seemed like an unnecessary risk as when i got a coach back to peru a few days later we didn't go anywhere near the lake. still i'm not complaining, it was a bonita vista.
