¡peligro!
this was a sign on a post at the border crossing between peru and bolivia. i forget now what was particularly dangerous about this post, or the surrounding area, i guess if i knew what AT stood for that might give me a clue. either way the skull and crossbones are a fairly universal symbol. the border crossing was all a little strange, we got a coach from puno in peru to la paz in bolivia, but you had to get off the coach, get stamped out of peru, walk a few yards over the border, then get stamped into bolivia before rejoining the same coach. it seemed pretty simple to just hop across the border without getting stamped - although a friend did that accidentally in thailand and it ended up causing all kinds of (expensive) problems so i guess if you're not on the lam it's probably not worth it.
