the mist and the tree
you know when you're feeling shite for whatever reason and not in the mood to take pictures, but then you see something really cool that you just want to try and capture? it's a tough call to make, even though in the long run the temporary discomfort doesn't really matter. last time i felt like that was the day before i was admitted for pneumonia in south africa, understandably not feeling well i still spent half an hour getting a few shots like this. this time i had just finished a mammoth bike ride and my muscles had turned into jelly. the last thing i wanted to do was move out of the passenger seat, but driving (or being driven) home we passed some really cool mist in the nearby fields. well this picture is evidence that the photographic half of my brain convinced the fuck-me-i'm-knackered side of my brain. unfortunately it couldn't translate into a picture that was as good or as accurate as i would have liked, but i'm still glad that i got out of the car to take it.
