driving in egypt is just, well crazy. it's amazing that there aren't more accidents as it just seems completely
reckless. if you want to go in the opposite direction, the taxi driver will just pull a u-turn in front of oncoming
traffic, and then beep at people who complain. the cars themselves aren't in the best nick, so it also becomes
disconcerting when your bombing along and start to hear rattles coming from inside the car. in this particularly taxi
i'm not sure if it made it more or less scary that the speedo was broken and stuck on zero... the reality was a lot
closer to 100.
