pray
i enjoy a good book, but find it hard to get through them as i'm a really slow reader. in a way that's a good thing as i can make them last, it can be weeks or months before i get one finished. but that can also put me off. as a result i don't usually read at home, only when i'm killing time like waiting at a station or travelling. on one of many recent coach journeys to london i managed a first - i started and finished a whole book in one day. that might not seem too impressive when the journey clocks in at about nine hours in total, but trust me - it was impressive for me. i think i had my ipod with me, but didn't listen to it once as i couldn't put the book down - it was written so well that i just wanted to keep on reading. on the way back up to leeds the driver stopped for a short break at a services and i saw these fellas who had pulled up for a quick prayer. seemed appropriate for the book.
i should probably add, the book i was reading was the kite runner. i'm guessing if you do read, then you've probably already read it. but if the answer is no to either of those then it's definitely worth picking up.
and here's the original
