and the crowd goes wild

and the crowd goes wild
and the crowd goes wild, and the camera makes you seasick, god it's so sweet of you and i know you're proud, and the car bomb hits quick click, click, click
last september i received a message on flickr from geca industrie grafiche who told me

every year since 1979 we design and produce a photographic calendar which we distribute to clients, suppliers and friends as a christmas gift. this has become a "tradition" that many people await with curiosity. every year we choose a different theme: this year, due to the upcoming soccer world cup in russia we have decided to handle with this game. our effort is to "tell" about this sport through twelve photos.

they asked if i wanted to contribute with my photo from the superclasico in argentina, so i sent them over a high res photo and at the beginning of this year they shipped me over a few kilos worth of desk calendars. they looked very cool. and i'm not claiming one month is better than any other, but for a calendar "handling" the "soccer world cup" i was pretty pleased to be adorning this month of giugno when it all kicks off. you can check out the other images on geca's calendar page, and if you speak italian would you mind letting me know exactly what geca actually do... i'm still not sure. i'll await the answer with curiosity.

here's the original
Hi Tim Your photographs are simply beautiful! Geca is a recollection of my university years ... It is definitely a publishing company. They must consider you a very good client or friend to ship you over kilos of calendar presents! Ciao
