heroes in a half shell
on my final day in new york city i came across this surreal sight. i watched teenage mutant ninja turtles (or teenage mutant hero turtles as it was called in britain) as a kid, but since then i've forgotten almost everything about it. a quick refresh on wikipedia tells me that this particular turtle was raphael and is described as the team's bad boy... has an aggressive nature and seldom hesitates to throw the first punch. so perhaps it was his desire to get too much into character which displeased the new york city cops. or maybe it was just part of their crackdown on the city's infestation of panhandling superheroes
