cross over the river

cross over the river
millions of people swarming like flies round waterloo underground, but terry and julie cross over the river where they feel safe and sound
on saturday the photo website 500px instigated a global photowalk. this is where photographers from hundreds of cities around the world meet up in their local area and... well the clue's in the title really... go for a walk and take photos. i attended the london one and it was really good fun. i think i spent about 5 hours in total, going to both familiar and unfamiliar parts of the city, and meeting some cool people. it's also good that i now have some more london photos to intersperse with my south american images. the meeting point was at st paul's cathedral so this was taken quite early on in the walk as people crossed over millennium bridge.

i couldn't reach the necessary angle for the 'suspended in the sky' effect i was after, so photoshop helped as you can see from the original
