holy roller
this is another shot i took last year when i was cycling around basel and looking at the cool architecture. this is a close up detail of a door outside schaulager which is a museum on the outskirts of basel, and i think it's the only building i visited that wasn't designed by herzog and de meuron. you probably guessed that i took the title of the photo from the beatles' song come together, a song that i always thought was fun yet kind of nonsense. i didn't realise that holy roller is actually a legitimate term referring to those christian folks whose devotion causes them to literally roll around on the floor. more than that though i also discovered that in the song each of the 4 verses is specific to each of the 4 members of the beatles - so the lyric holy roller refers to ringo the drummer. mind = blown.
