tomorrow is just an idea
it may sound a little ridiculous seeing as britain is relatively small but i often forget that it's an island. i guess it's because i've always lived inland in places like london or leeds so the coast hasn't been on my doorstep. plus the beaches in britain aren't as appealing to me as those in brazil, or colombia, or venezuela. despite this i was inspired a few weeks ago by my housemate, and the fact that i temporarily had a car, to take a day trip to brighton. i think it was my first visit to the english coast since i went on a stag do in blackpool over 3 years ago. walking along the pier i did notice a few similarities between the two towns - fun fair rides, arcades, candy floss - but i hasten to add that brighton is nowhere near as depressing as blackpool. although still not quite as stunning as choroni.
